Marc left for Andrhra Pradesh India very early yesterday morning (left the house at 4am!) and should have arrived a few hours ago. Hopefully he is getting some much needed sleep in to recover from the 26+ hour trip! He will be there the next 2 weeks setting up field work for a research project on how people respond (via water source, treatment and purchase behavior) to information regarding their water quality. It will be a busy time for him and his colleagues, but a nice respite from the cold here!
It snowed here (in Chapel Hill) yesterday afternoon. It was quite pretty actually, and it was only about an inch of accumulation, so most of it has already melted. I went on a lovely run with friends mid-morning mostly in the trails, which was gorgeous. The snow would fall upon us whenever there was a gust of wind blowing through the tall pine trees, creating a mini snow shower here and there. It was cold to be out, but completely worth it! I would have taken pictures of our snow covered house here yesterday, but Marc brought the camera with him to India.
