Marc was in Ethiopia on his actual 34th birthday (Feb 15th), and had his mid-term review for his tenure-track position on Monday. To celebrate both his birthday and the fact that he still has a job, we splurged at a kaiseki-style Japanese restaurant. Yamazushi was rated one of the 2 top restaurants of the year by our local News & Observer food critic, and it has amazing ratings on various food websites (yelp. urbanspoon, etc.) . We decided we needed to give it a try.
As you can tell, we ate well! Next up, Oakleaf for my birthday!
