A full body experience

This past week, I had many folks ask me how my trip to Chicago went. After a few conversations, I realized that it really was a trip that used practically every faculty in my body to a rather high degree. The first 2 days in Chicago was dominated by the use of my left brain at the Health Econometrics workshop. We also went to an Opera and heard the Symphony while there and so made some good use of my right brain in the process. We ate very very well in Chicago, thanks to Marc's parents who took us to a number of really nice restaurants, so the taste buds and tummy (as well as liver) got a good workout too. And, of course on Sunday, the heart, lungs and legs got to take center stage. So, all in all, it was definitely a special trip... from both a mechanical and spiritual standpoint. To have the luxury of being able to engage my body in all their functions at these levels is a real blessing. Life is good.

ps: Marc is now in Sudan, staying very busy.
