Graduation weekend was nice (although a tad too hot) and we got to see lots of friends, share hugs and take many pictures. Shuwen's parents got into town a week earlier and left yesterday so we got to spend more time together. We went strawberry picking, attended a cooking class at Southern Season, did some shopping, took a number of strolls around Carrboro and enjoyed some home-cooked meals together. It was especially wonderful that Marc's parents also came, so the two sets of parents could spend more time together (the last and first time they met each other was at our wedding!)So, poor Shuwen went from having 4 people in the house to just her lonely self... Marc also headed out of town yesterday for Dhaka, Bangladesh for some World Bank work.... he gets back next Wed. Meanwhile, Shuwen needs to get re-focused on getting lots of work done the next 2 weeks before her trip to China at the end of the month. In case you want our ever-evolving summer travel plans, you can find them here.
Oh, and here is an interview Marc did with Carolina Public Health Magazine about his time with the Peace Corps in Mali.
Ok, back to work!
